Karen Mears

Karen Mears, the co-author (with Kathy MacLean) of the educational pack, A Caribbean History, is an experienced teacher and educational consultant, with an interest in teaching literacy, the creative arts and in promoting the global dimension of the curriculum. She works as a tutor in initial teacher-training at the Institute of Education, London. She worked in multicultural arts education for many years and at the Horniman Museum, London. She has also set up projects linking schools in Dominica with schools in London, coordinated teacher exchanges and developed curriculum initiatives jointly with UK and Dominican schools..
